an idea, how about plain slab reefing?, aka just dump the halyard, if the foil won't turn, it's the surest way to pack up the sail.(you have to anyway, to unload the bearings, lines, etc. to re-reeve the rig to repair any jams).

Use a strut-pro. That slide hammer he used is the single best way to destroy your P-bracket. Stop using the wrong tools for the job simply because it's cheaper.

A lot of things on Istanbul are a scam, more so then some other major cities. Be vigilant, but also, don't let it be a reason not to go if you have a good reason or it's in your list. Definitely research the scams and know that if you get caught up pursuing a few extra dollars for a cab ride or shoe shine you didn't want. It's the price of doing business or in this case traveling to w place like this, but don't let it ruin your trip. The majority of scams can be avoided if you have half a brain. The hotel scams and night club scams can be some of the most costly. Give yourself enough time and know what to be aware of, finally, enjoy Istanbul.

Thank you very much for your reply. I bought a sewing machine industrial and I’ve been making different things for my sailboat. Now I’m going to make a cover over the doorway with vinyl windows and I’ve also made some shade cloth covers for the summer. I’ve got a repair the bottom of the main sale a bit and then I am making a sale pack and I’m having heaps of fun. They said you can’t have fun after 70
